We installed a seventy foot underground Downspout in this Union Pier, Michigan home. Pushing this water away from the foundation will ensure that the water will not be recycled back into the foundation.
We installed a perimeter of DryTrak baseboard system. We broke out the concrete floor as needed to install 2 UltraSump Backup sump pump systems. One of the pumps will made use of the existing discharge line. The other was plumbed and run to the exterior of the home through an Iceguard into a buried 4-inch drain across the lawn to a Lawnscape at grass level. Finally we installed an Aprilaire dehumidifier, and set it to drain into one of the sumps to control humidity levels.
"Rainwater was puddling and washing towards this homeowners house, and they wanted it to be funneled elsewhere. We installed a trench drain to fix their problem."
Sagging insulation can be a warning that moisture and humidity is present in your crawlspace. When humidity creeps into the insulation it becomes damp, and it begins to absorb that moisture like a sponge. Overtime, it becomes heavy and begins to sag.
This pipe was allowing seepage to enter the basement, so we fixed the problem with an Epoxy Pipe Patch.
