How he got here.....
Dave has been with Nova Basement Systems for over 20 years. Dave met Jim Nova his senior year at LaPorte High school. Nova was the building trades and woodshop instructor. Upon graduation Dave went to work that summer for Jim Nova as a laborer. He has worked at Nova ever since. Over the years, Dave started as a laborer and moved to crew chief in his second year of employment. Then in 2007 Dave was in charge of service, scheduling and servicing systems. In mid 2008, Dave was promoted to the Director of Operations. His responsibilities now include, managing all of our crews, service department and estimators. He reviews every job that comes into our office to look for potential problems.
Dave is not afraid to step up when and where needed. Occasionally you will see Dave running to do a service call, helping on a crew or out estimating jobs. Dave has traveled to Connecticut twice. Each time was for different training. He also went to Grip-Tite in Nebraska for a management training seminar. Dave received employee of the year in 2001.
In 2006, Dave started Naughton Concrete Raising, which he owns and operates from his home on the weekends.
This Middlebury customer wanted a mold issue checked out. As it turns out, thankfully they had no mold issues. Hollis had dropped some literature off to the homeowners, and they decided to have us install some sunhouses instead.
This customer needed a solution to a garage that was flooding in heavy rains. We installed a trench drain that directed water away from the garage.
