Nova Basement Systems Donates to Historical Society Expansion

LA PORTE, IN – Nova Basement Systems recently lent a hand to the Marshall County Historical Society and Museum’s expansion. Nova, along with several other local businesses, contributed time and services to the effort to open a transportation museum at the historical society. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the million-dollar project was held last month to honor the volunteers.

The project began in 2005 when the historical society received a grant for $800,000 to open a transportation museum. Local community members were able to raise an additional $300,000 and volunteered around 445 hours to complete the project. Boy Scout troops, remodeling contractors, and architects all worked to help the historical society complete the renovation.

Jim Nova, who has a construction and mechanical background, founded Nova Basement Systems, Inc. in 1977. La PORTE, IN, August 25, 2009: Nova Basement Systems, a basement waterproofing and foundation repair company, won awards at the 2009 National Basement Systems Convention. They are among a dealer network of over 300 dealers world wide.

Dealers, managers and technicians traveled to Hartford, CT to attend this year's convention. The highlight this year was the release of new products, product training, and the awards ceremony. This makes the ninth consecutive year Jim Nova, president of Nova Basement Systems, has received awards in sales and customer service. Nova was presented with 4 awards: a dealer award for total sales, a foundation support dealer, a visionary club award and "25 mile" award.

"The award that surprised me the most was the Foundation Supportworks' dealer for wall anchors", said Nova. Nova Basement Systems was recognized as the #10 dealer nationwide. This is the first year that Foundation Supportworks' dealers were recognized.

Nova Basement Systems was honored with a "25 mile" award, which is for installing over 25 miles(132,000 feet) of interior drainage systems. Also, Nova was recognized as the #26 dealer nationwide in basement and crawlspace systems. The Visionary Award was handed out for all those dealers that had faith and vision in technology and foundation repair advances.
